2024 Hydropower Operation and Inspection Star Achievement Exchange Meeting Opens, Oumaan Technology Group Shares New Breakthroughs in Hydropower Station Lightning Protection
On 28th August 2024,the 2024 Hydropower Operation and Inspection QC Group Activity Achievements and Hydropower Operation and Inspection Star Achievements On-site Publishing and Exchange Meeting was grandly held in Changsha.The meeting was organised by the Operation and Maintenance Branch of China Electric Power Technology Market Association,which,since its establishment,has been committed to promoting the development and progress of hydropower operation and maintenance,and vigorously promoting the construction of hydropower intelligent operation and maintenance,condition maintenance and trouble-free hydropower stations.
Hunan Oumaan Technology Group Co.,Ltd.attended the meeting as the vice president of the association and the lightning protection technology service centre of the electric power industry,and we targeted to share the perspective of lightning protection of hydropower stations.
As of the end of June 2024,China's cumulative installed capacity of hydropower reached 427 million kilowatts,of which 373 million kilowatts of conventional hydropower,pumped storage 54.39 million kilowatts.The huge installed energy also comes with lightning risks.The flat terrain of the water's edge is easy to become a direct lightning target;the high humidity of the air environment of the hydropower station is easy to form condensation on the surface of the metal devices,surge arresters,insulators,causing electric field distortion,leading to moisture discharge,which can seriously burn the equipment;in the complex natural environment grounding resistance is difficult to meet the needs of the underwater grounding is difficult to meet the standards;the difficulty of accurately locating the lightning accident,which is a major challenge faced by hydropower plant operation and maintenance process.These are all major challenges in the operation and maintenance of hydropower plants.
Aiming at the above problems,Wen Chaoqun,the representative of Oumaan Technology Group,made a detailed analysis at the conference and launched four core technologies for these four types of problems.
For direct lightning disasters,HD-PLR can realise no direct lightning occurrence in key areas and is widely used in transmission line towers and other scenarios.
For accidents such as moisture discharge and insulator creepage caused by condensation,DSAN double sparse bionic coating can make the surface of the substrate have water-and oil-repellent properties,preventing condensation and other factors prone to triggering electric field aberrations such as condensation on the surfaces of metal parts,insulators,and so on.This ensures the stability of operation and maintenance.
For the grounding device,flexible grounding technology can reduce the grounding resistance of the transmission line tower,reduce the grounding resistance of the substation,inhibit the ground voltage rise caused by lightning strikes,and protect the metal grounding electrode from soil corrosion.Flexible grounding technology can also be applied underwater,to solve the water body corrosion of metal grounding electrode,underwater grounding is difficult to complete and other difficult problems.
