HDS-25B、B60 Surge Protective Device/SPD
I. HDS-25B Surge Protective Device (SPD)

1. Product Introduction:
① The HDS-25B is an integrated multi-layer spark gap device. It consists of 9 spark gaps formed by stacking 10 high-energy graphite electrode discs. High-temperature-resistant Teflon spacer rings are utilized to reliably maintain the precise internal clearance distances within the spark gaps.
② Die-cast copper connecting plates, secured by bolts, clamp the spark gap assembly firmly into exact alignment. Among the 9 spark gaps, 8 are capacitively coupled to ensure a precisely defined protective level voltage.

2. Product Advantages:
① The HDS-25B features a unique sealed enclosure design that completely prevents any external arc flash during operation. Therefore, no dedicated clearance space for arc venting is required during installation.
② This SPD boasts an exceptionally high lightning current discharge capacity, with an impulse current (Iimp) of up to 50 kA per module. It effectively protects against various surges, including direct lightning strikes. Widely used as the primary (Type 1) power line protection in areas with high lightning risks, it can be freely configured for single-phase or three-phase power supply systems.
③ Compliant with IEC 61643-1 (02.98) requirements for Class I SPDs, it is suitable for installation between Lightning Protection Zones (LPZ) 0 and 1.
3. Scope of Application:
For lightning protection installations within buildings, the HDS-25B provides equipotential bonding for power lines. Having successfully passed rigorous tests based on specified lightning current parameters, this SPD offers sufficient protection when lightning strikes overhead lines. Consequently, it is highly recommended for use in power supply systems where electricity is introduced into buildings via overhead cables.
II. HDS-B60 Surge Protective Device (Class B)

1. Product Introduction:
The HDS-B60 Surge Protective Device (SPD) is designed in strict accordance with IEC 61643 and GB 18802 standards. Suitable for low-voltage power supply systems operating at 48-62 Hz, this voltage-limiting SPD has been rigorously tested to meet the requirements of both IEC 61643-1 and GB 18802.1. It is classified as a Class B protection device.

2. Product Advantages:
Delivers a lower residual voltage after a lightning strike and ensures zero follow-on current. It features an ultra-fast response time and is equipped with an automatic thermal disconnect (ATD) mechanism to safely isolate the device in the event of a breakdown failure.
3. Scope of Application:
The HDS-B60 is ideally suited for protecting sensitive electronic equipment against induced lightning surges within buildings. Serving as the primary power line SPD, it should be installed at the boundary between Lightning Protection Zones (LPZ) 0 and 1, typically located within the main distribution board.
