Da Chong Wind Farm Lightning Protection and Grounding Project Case
I.Project Background
Dachong wind farm is one of the important wind power bases in China,due to the location of lightning-prone areas,its 35KV collector line towers are often subject to lightning strikes,resulting in line tripping,equipment damage and other problems,seriously affecting the normal power generation and operation and maintenance of the wind farm.In order to solve this problem,Dachong wind farm decided to cooperate with Oumaan Technology Group's subsidiary Heilongjiang Hengdian Lightning Protection Engineering Co.,Ltd.to use flexible grounding technology for lightning protection and grounding transformation.
II.The introduction of flexible grounding technology
Flexible grounding technology is a new type of grounding,which uses highly conductive,corrosion-resistant flexible grounding materials,through a special construction process,the grounding body and the soil are closely combined to form a low-impedance grounding system.Compared with the traditional rigid grounding,flexible grounding electrode has better adaptability and corrosion resistance,can effectively reduce the grounding resistance,improve lightning protection.
III.The transformation project implementation programme
1.Site survey and design:first of all,the grounding system of 35kV collector line tower of Dachong wind farm is surveyed in detail,to understand the condition of the existing grounding system and the existing problems.Then according to the results of the survey,combined with the characteristics of flexible grounding technology,develop a detailed transformation design programme.
2.Material Selection and Purchase:Oumaan Technology Group's exclusive patented flexible grounding electrode is selected,which reduces the frequency and impact grounding resistance by improving the charge storage and lightning current discharge capacity of the material's molecular structure,thus ensuring the long-term stable operation of the grounding system.
3.Construction preparation:before construction,clean and level the construction site to ensure that the construction environment meets the requirements.At the same time,the construction personnel for technical briefing and safety training to ensure the safety and quality of the construction process.
4.flexible grounding electrode installation:according to the design scheme,digging grounding pits around the base of the tower,burying the flexible grounding electrode in the soil and connecting it with the grounding lead wire of the tower.During the construction process,strictly control the burial depth and connection quality of the grounding body to ensure the effectiveness of the lightning protection and grounding system.
5.Grounding resistance test and acceptance:after completing the construction,the grounding system for strict grounding resistance test to ensure that the grounding resistance meets the design requirements.At the same time,acceptance of the entire transformation project to ensure that the construction quality meets the requirements.
IV.The transformation effect assessment
1.Lightning protection and grounding transformation after the measurement of industrial frequency grounding resistance and impact grounding resistance review calculations are in line with the standard requirements.After the completion of the project,the equipment operating results are very satisfactory,wind farms a year to improve power generation of nearly 20 million degrees,equivalent to more than 10 million yuan.At the same time,the project won the title of 2017 New Energy Intelligent Operation and Inspection Outstanding Service Provider of China Electric Power Equipment Management Association.
2.Lightning protection project before the renovation of the lightning strike tripping more than 20-40 times a year,after the renovation in the season of frequent lightning activity,the frequency of line tripping and equipment damage is significantly reduced,and the wind farm's power generation efficiency and operation and maintenance level has been effectively improved.At the same time,the introduction of flexible grounding technology also improves the corrosion resistance of the grounding system,extending the service life of the equipment.
V.Conclusion and Prospect
